current status (17.08.2024):
14th and 15th of June 2025 an event shall show the history of the former monastery of Mönchengladbach. It shall focus on benedictinian life and monastical activities. singe displays of other subjects are possible though.
Sunday it the saints’s day with an annual family feast.
The weeks befor our event there will be more about the history: a lecture about Albert the great and about the architect, who also did the cologne cathedral. Here the anniversary website (German, under construction)

sure information:
- there will be some compensation, amount in discussion. Currrent figure 100€/day&person
- there will be feee food for the reenactors, details will follow. in an adjacend building is a caterer, probably he will care for it.
- there will be accomodation. Preferred option: rooms of an adjacend building for camp beds, also possible host families or hotel in 500m distance on own expense. No tents, since no grounds for tent pegs
- the site will be locked up over night, so we probably don’t need guards
- in the cloister will be 4 modern pavillions 3m x3m as shelter
- If you have pictures suitable for posters (not too much details), they could be useful for the organising team of the parish!

There is also a nuns‘ cloister associated to the monastery since 1135 and the monks cared for some anchoresses

around 1275 the frock is probably with sleeves, not skapulier shape. black, since it was established and most of the times wealthy black and fine fabric is suitable, must not be natural colour. Undergown mostly white, but dark is also possible. Nuns with dark veil over whithe veil and
